Skinny white wine sangria

 

Produce

  • 1 apple

  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda by Zevia (no artificial colours or sweeteners) 

  • 2 Lemons

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced

  • 1-2 limes, sliced

  • 1 orange, sliced

Wine & Liquor

  • 1/2 cup white rum

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle organic white wine (or champagne!)

 

Instructions and notes:

  1. In a medium pitcher, combine wine (or champagne), rum and soda.

  2. Add chopped fresh fruit and stir.

  3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This makes 6 servings. Double the recipe for a larger pitcher.  

Note: may add some stevia packets to adjust desired sweetness. 

 

 

Skinny Red Wine Sangria:

  • 1 bottle organic red wine

  • 2 cups of fresh fruit including: Sliced Strawberries, bite sized pineapple chunks, sliced oranges and blackberries

  • 2 lemon-lime Zevia cans (OR 500 mL of sprite zero)

  • 1/3 cup vodka (or pomegranate vodka - optional)

  • Fruit for garnish if desired

Instructions:

  • Add fruit, wine and vodka to a pitcher and stir.

  • Chill for 4-6 hours or overnight.

  • Mix in Soda/Sprite before serving.

  • Fill glasses with ice, pour the Sangria and garnish with fruit.

 

Skinny Mojito for 1:

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 packets of stevia

  • 12 mint leaves (or 3 drops of mint essential oil)

  • 1.5 oz light rum

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 1 can of soda water

  • 1 oz lime juice

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, add mint leaves, tbsp water and lime juice.  Muddle the mint leaves in the liquid to release their essential oils/flavors-you don’t want to chop them or shred them-this won’t get you the flavor.

  • Add ice to a glass.

  • Pour mint mixture into glass, and add stevia.

  • Top mixture with rum and soda water. 

  • Garnish with a lime and mint sprigs and enjoy!

 

 

Vodka soda with Mio:

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz vodka

  • 1 can soda water

  • Squirts of your favourite Mio flavour!

 

Instructions (This one is easy and is my personal go-to! All you do is):

 

  • Pour vodka into a glass.

  • Add ice.

  • Add soda water.

  • Squirt mio flavour of choice to desired sweetness level

  • Stir and enjoy!

The next morning (and the night before if you remember LOL), have a b-complex vitamin and some water with greens powder! Works like a charm!
